What job do you ideally want? What skills will you need to hone in order to get that job? What educational background is required? How does this class help you to train for these things? Well Im not sure of what I want to do for sure, but I love working with people and helping them with i can! I wanted to be a nurse but I'm not sure.But this well help me alot because this job deals with working with people so yes it well help me alot and i like it alot!

week 10

What is your greatest achievement in school so far this semester? Well i would have to say handling the huge change from NY to Ga Its been a big changed starting from the Walther to school changes.I thought it would be real hard but its not as bad as I thought it would be it turn out to be a very good place and my mother really likes it and if she happy so am I! School was stressing in at first because it was a huge change but thank god for all these teachers that been helping seance from the minute i came till now....I Love the school its a good place to be at and its helping me alot.Also I've learned alot from other kids that are here how some struggle alot but still come to school and want to finish as will as me!

What has been the most difficult part of your job at Jittery Joe's? What would you change if you could? I really don't find anything hard to do at Jittery Joe's if anything I've got better in making coffee and working with the cashier.At first I was scared but I stared loosing up little by little Imma miss working their alot when its time for me to leave I've learned alot here! Theirs nothing their that we would not b able to do because were able to do anything just if "we put our mind to it"

Now that you have legitimate work experience (if you did not already) do you feel differently about the way you spend money? Assume you earned minimum wage for working at Jittery Joe's instead of course credit. How does that change the value of money in your eyes? I think that it would change the value of money in my eyes because its money that I will be spending anywhere so I will try my best to use it in a smart way!But I'm a type of person that i don't have to do something will done just because I'm getting paid,because that's not the way it should be.You should do your best even if they don't pay you And although working at Jittery Joe's getting paid its giving me a credit which I think its even better in the solution I'm in.That's why we should take advaged of any thing that brings life.Like my mom tells me "if you going to do something do it with your heart but if not dont even brother"! & thats true....

Have you had a bad customer experience? Without using names or identifying information, explain what happened and how you resolved the situation. To be honest no I haven't I understand that you will always meet all kind of people and we just have to know how to deal with them & use as workers we should always have a positive attitude no matter what happen befor coming to work or the day befor people should'nt have to pay for are problems thats the way I feel!

Describe how you feel physically while working. What changes or stays the same as you work? Im a type of person that loves joking around and launghing but we I get to work I have to clam down and show respect just like my mom taught me! Theirs a time & place for everything. I also like talking at 1st im a little shy But after I get to know you a little more I promise you I could be the coolest person you could have a friend and this jod I like because like I had said before iI love helping people and here I could do that!

Has there been a time where you made an error either with money or dealing with a customer? Explain what happened and how you corrected it. What will you do differently next time? Yes their has been an error that has happened to me before with the money.This what happened I was just learning how to work with the cashier and a girl had bought a juice for .50 and I had put In a $50 I didn't mean to I was a little scared at 1st but then I asked my teacher what do I do & she told me what to do so I went back to the cash register and did as I was told and then wrote it in the book beside the cashier.We will make errors why bacause we are not perfect we just have to ask for help when things like this happen,Thats the best thing to do!

Do you have classmates asking you for free drinks or pastries? You aren't alone! Some of your peers will ask you this frequently, causing you to make an ethical decision. How have you handled it in the past? How will you handle it in the future? Yes this happened to me a few times but I know that Theirs rules that I have to follow and if i dont I could loose my job or get into alot of trouble so when some I know comes in tells me they want something but doesnt give me the money If I have the money I buy for them if thier very hungry if not I tell them to go ask someone else for the money because I can't.

Talk about tasks that can be done when the coffee shop is slow. What types of things can you be working on to still be a productive worker? I hate sitting around and not doing nothing so I will always find something to do.I could make sure everything around me is clean,make sure that theirs enough coffee made for when someone comes asking for some, and also work on any work from my classes on the computer like on my class blogs.Thier is something that we can always do to keep us busy!

We are already beginning to talk about customer service. Talk about a positive customer service experience you have had working at Jittery Joe's. Just the 1st week that i had started a men that always comes in buys a coffee almost everyday after lunch had came in asking for the coffee so i told him hi good afternoon how can I help you so after she told me I told her im so sorry Ma I just started working here today & I really dont know how to make but I can call someone to help me so I did & I told her If you want I could take It to you & she told me will thanks alot and I said thanks alot! I was so happy that I could help him. Even if I cant help you on everything I always try my best on helping my customers & also I love working & helping people so I enjoy my job!

Is working at Jittery Joe's your first experience with work? If not, what skills from other jobs are you implementing at the coffee shop? If it is, what skills are you learning that you will take with you to future jobs? Working at Jittery Joe's is not my first experience with work, I also worked at a food pantry & a bakery for awhile cleaning,baking,cashier onces in awhile & getting peoples information.But I think that working here will help me alot more why because we should always use all the help we can. For ex: the cashier I wasnt very good at but I'm getting the hang of it But the cleaning part is so easy for me because thats something I like doing and because who would want to work in a dirty area! So yes I think that working here will give me more experience for other jobs.
